For care home activity teams

This afternoon's activity session, sorted.

Every month: twenty large-print word searches across ten reminiscence themes, “do you remember?” prompts, and the session paperwork — personalised with your home's name. Print once, photocopy for everyone.

The sample opens instantly — 25 pages, no signup, no card details. You could run it at two o'clock today.

Don't take our word for it. Have a go.

This is the exact print size residents get. Find all four words — tap the first and last letter of each. Then watch what the leftover letters do.

  • KETTLE
  • TEAPOT
  • SCONE
  • SUGAR

Start with KETTLE — second row.

Eight full puzzles like this, on paper, in the free sample — open the PDF and print it for this afternoon.

Quarter to two on a Tuesday. Fourteen residents in the lounge, the singer cancelled, and the activity folder is looking thin again.

Every activity coordinator knows that moment. The job isn't short of ideas — it's short of ready ones: something on the table in ten minutes that works for the resident who finishes everything early and the one who needs a gentler start, and that still leaves you something to put in the activities folder afterwards.

That's the whole reason The Puzzle Trolley exists. One PDF a month. Print it, photocopy it, run the room.

Two levels. One table. Nobody singled out.

The quiet heartbreak of group activities is the resident who gets handed the “easy one” in front of everyone. So every theme in every pack comes at two levels — Gentle and Classic — with the same title, the same subject, the same conversation.

The whole table talks about wash day together. Only the grid size changes hands.

Everything in the envelope, every month

Twenty puzzles, whole-room extras, and the paperwork done for you — nothing to prepare.

20 puzzles across 10 themes
Wash day, the corner shop, a night at the pictures… every theme at Gentle and Classic level, so mixed-ability tables solve the same subject side by side.
Giant “Together Time” grids
Letters big enough to read across the room — prop one on an easel and let everyone call out. A hidden saying in every grid, too.
“Do you remember?” prompts
Discussion questions that turn each puzzle into a reminiscence session — plus a month planner, quiz corner and finish-the-saying quiz.
Genuinely large print
Designed for older eyes from the first line to the last. Toner-friendly black and white — pennies to photocopy.
Session log + answer keys
A ready-to-file record page for your activities folder, and full solutions so anyone on shift can lead.
Photocopy licence
Copy freely within your home — one subscription covers every resident, every month.

Your home's name, on every cover

Packs arrive personalised — “Prepared for” your home, not a generic printout off the internet. Residents notice. Relatives notice. Try it:

Start your free month

The whole first month is on us. Properly.

No card details up front, so there's nothing to remember to cancel. Run the full pack with your residents for a month. If it doesn't earn its place on the trolley, reply “no thanks” to any email and that's the end of it — and the sample pack is yours to keep either way.

Questions activity teams ask us

Do we need any special equipment?
Just a printer or photocopier. Every pack is black and white and toner-friendly, so it costs pennies to print.
Who can run the sessions?
Anyone on shift. The “do you remember?” prompts plan the conversation, and full answer keys mean staff never get stuck.
Is the print really large enough for our residents?
Genuinely large print is the whole point — the puzzle at the top of this page is the actual size. Download the free sample pack and judge with your own residents this afternoon.
What if it doesn't suit our home?
Your first month is free and we never take card details up front. If it's not right, reply to any email and that's that.
Can we pay by invoice?
Yes — most homes do. We send a simple online invoice your accounts team can pay by card or bank transfer. Nothing is needed to start the free month.
We run several homes — is there a group rate?
Yes — from £25 per home per month, each home with its own personalised pack, on one invoice. Mention your homes in the signup form.
